About the Owner

SHANNON MORRISON, MA, NIC

MORR Interpreting, LLC is owned and operated by Delaware native, Shannon Morrison, a professionally trained and nationally certified (RID NIC #86048) interpreter between the languages of American Sign Language and English.

As an undergraduate student, Shannon majored in Visual Communications and Digital Media Arts which led her to a career in marketing and design. Endeavors in design led her to begin learning ASL in the summer of 2013—informally at first—socializing with the local Deaf and signing communities and later more formally, periodically taking University ASL classes. With community encouragement, she found herself enrolled in Gallaudet University’s Interpretation and Translation Combined Research and Practice master’s program from where she graduated in 2019.

She is currently a community interpreter focusing in the areas of events, business and justice. She resides in Baltimore, MD and her practice serves the local Baltimore-DC-MD areas and virtually nationwide.
